Jodoji Support Association

Jodoji Support Association (General Incorporated Foundation)

Historically, temples have been supported through the parish household system and the traditional family system. However, after considering a form better suited to today’s society—amid declining birth rates and the spread of nuclear families— Jodoji Temple established the “Jodoji Support Association (General Incorporated Foundation)” in Reiwa 5 (2024).

The Jodoji Support Association is an organization created to sustain the temple in a stable way while responding to social change. It is supported not only by temple members, but also by a broad range of people. In modern terms, regardless of religion or denomination, we hope you may think of it as a “fan club” for supporting Jodoji Temple.

The membership fees contributed by supporters are used across many areas, including: cleaning of the cemetery and temple grounds, preservation and maintenance of cultural properties, child-rearing support activities, hosting events, and local crime-prevention measures. We would be grateful to receive support from as many people as possible.
